The Man Booker Prize for Fiction 2011 shortlist was announced on Tuesday 6th September and we're pleased to annouce that Random House author Julian Barnes has made it on the list with his amazing novel The Sense of an Ending!

Julian is the author of many novels and non-ficiton works. He also writes crime fiction under the pseudonym Dan Kavanagh. Julian has won many distinctive literary awards for his works, of which four have been shortlisted for the Man Booker prize; Flaubert's Parrot (1984), England, England (1998), Arthur & George (2005), and The Sense of an Ending (2011).

The Man Booker Prize for Fiction is an award intended to display the very best talent written in ther English language amongst the Commonwealth of Nations, Ireland or Zimbabwe and is one of the worlds largest literary prizes coming in at £50,000!
