Stories behind the Stories
During this event two of our writers, Jenny Pattrick and James Crampton, will share with you their secrets on how they write.
Geologist Dr James Crampton, who wrote with Marianna Terezow the Kiwi Fossil Hunter's Handbook, is the head of GNS Science's Global Change Through Time programme. He has worked closely on the creation of the NZ Fossils: Dead Precious! exhibition and is passionate about getting young people interested in fossils.
Jenny Pattrick is a best-selling author and is also known as a jeweller. She has been President of the Crafts Council of New Zealand, chaired the Boards of Creative New Zealand, the New Zealand Drama School and the NZ School of Dance, and chaired the Writers and Readers Festival Committee in Wellington. She has had short stories and two dramatised series broadcast on National Radio, as well as writing five other novels including the bestselling The Denniston Rose.
